With 25 years of experience as a clinical counselor, George has dedicated his career to supporting individuals navigating substance use, mental health challenges, and trauma. His professional journey has taken him from treatment centers to the past 13 years working in corrections, where he has gained a deep understanding of the complexities of addiction, recovery, and the barriers individuals face along the way.
George takes a client-centered approach grounded in motivational interviewing and draws from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. His approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping clients recognize their strengths and develop meaningful pathways toward change.
Having personally navigated challenges related to substance use, George brings a unique level of empathy and understanding to his work. He is deeply committed to helping individuals move beyond the pain and destruction that trauma and addiction can cause and supporting them as they build healthier, more fulfilling lives.
